Sports, sports and more sports...

So the World Cup is in full flight now. The one thing great about it is that everyone seems to pick a country to cheer for, at least for the tournament.

It's really neat showing up to work and seeing who's supporting who. Too bad Canada didn't qualify again. But at least England always qualifies. They never win either, but my loyalties never waver.

My supervisor at work is seemingly enjoying the opportunities to rib me as the Three Lions put in a rather sub par effort against Paraguay. "But at least you know their songs, so I can't say anything," he says. haha! Yes, I think I could walk into most pubs and be able to fit in if I had to.

English songs and chants are pretty easy to pick up on though, especially if you know songs for English clubs. Don't ask how I know songs for other teams other than Manchester United. I don't reeally know how that happened, but whatever.

It occurs to me, however, just how much time I spend watching sports. I guess that's why I need to stay loyal to specific teams. Otherwise, I'd never be able to turn off the telly.

Switching sports, I think it's safe to say that just about all Raptor fans are eagerly anticipating this summer to see how we turn out. We're all expecting good things.

The Blue Jays are somehow still in the race in the East, despite having like a pitching staff full of all their minor leaguers.

And the Leafs? Well... Yeah...
